OUR STORIES… by Bamigbola Silas.

We were created with a pencil, a golden pencil given to everyone without segregation. With it, we write our stories right from day one in this mean world. In addition, the Almighty gave us a textbook and a work book. But what we would write on the work book is a factor that is dependent on us.

The stories to be scribed on each pages of the paper could therefore be a love or hatred,  joy or sorrow, tranquility or restlessness, hope or despair, faith or doubt, victories or defeat, impacts  or non impacts, peace or war, solutions or problems, freedom or oppression stories etc.
Some who attached seriousness to the type of stories they write make a conscious effort to consult and read relevant text book(s) to write meaningful stories on their workbooks with their golden pencil. Many through firm decisions to use their pencils rightly, they put smiles on the face of others, proffered solutions  to the hard-to-crack problems of the world , were agents of change, turned their weaknesses to strengths and as well invented great things. Men who are not worthy of this earth.  These are men whose stories touches lives and whose life speaks volume that turns out to be a collection of astonishing and outstanding  biographies which ultimately serves as a textbook from which knowledge could be gleaned from.
However,  many who lived in the darkness of this understanding without making consultations  failed woefully, took decisions that mared their lives and others. Using their pencils, they brought about a free flowing streams of tears from the eyes of people; achieving nothing significant with their golden pencils even though time and seasons open up golden opportunities to them. Not only were they useless themselves, but also to the world. And because they did not have an insight of anything good in themselves, this made them depressed, in despondent , sorrowful, restless, and suffered defeat. With miserable life,  they nurse hatredness against those who maximized the Golden opportunities that come across their ways. They were apt to forget that we all have equal chances to write our stories right. Their biographies were horrible to read and were lost in the history of time.
We all have a story to write. It is your choice to write an inspiring story or a despairing story. God will never influence your choice, it is a gifts to you. You either use it well or abuse it.
But friends, I dare you to write a great story, don’t die twice, take  right decisions now, consult and read the textbook (The word of God), and you will be sure purpose discovery won’t be a far fetched issue.
I dare you to write a story that can never be forgotten by men in years to come. Stories that men can make reference to and thank God you walked on the shore of this land.  I sure know you remember the likes of Jesus, Paul, David, Solomon, Joseph, Esther, Peter, Kathryn kulma, Myles Monroe, Nelson mandella, Kenneth Hagin, Martin Luther King Jr, Abraham Lincoln, Charles Spurgeon. Etc.
Inspire someone today with your story.

God bless you.

Unconditional Love ♥…

That day you dressed handsomely with your black suit and golden tie  with smiles on your face to propose to me was the sweetest and greatest day of my life.
You opined your love to me with that soothing baritone voice of yours that surpasses all other suitors.
Your words still ring in my ears;
“Tope I love you

For as the heavens is high above the earth

So is my love for you.

As far as the east is far from the west,

So have I removed your transgressions from you.”
Those were the best words I heard in a long time because all I went to, all I heard were words of rejections, dejections and pain.
As lowly as I was, as dirty as I was yet you still loved me the same.

Thank you Jesus.
P.S: This is a fictional story, just to encourage many out there that are still doubting God’s love for them and to tell those that have not forgiven themselves of the wrong they did in the past that God has forgiven them already. Their sins and wrongs he has pardoned.
Hebrews 10:17

“And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.”
Psalms 103:11-13
“For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him;

as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;”

God has forgiven all your sins and his love for you is eternal.

A sharp double edged sword, sharper than the sharpest of great warriors’ swords. Horned by the greatest honers In the world.

It’s sheath is the skin of a dangerous python that had preyed many creatures In the forest. Through this sword many battles have been won, many lives have crossed the streams to the world beyond; many have been killed and souls bereaved, great forest have been set on fire by a small spark, it has corrupted the heart of men, cities have been built, and wars have been won.
Oh! who can stop the works of a Sword in the hand of a corrupted soul. Who?  It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison in his hands. I pity his victims.

If you love your life, if you love to see good days, if you love to eat the good of the land and make positive impacts In your life time. Keep this sword and it’s sheath from evil, it has power. Avoid the wars caused by deceitful fools.
This sword is sharp, it’s penetrates into the dividing souls and spirit of men, the joint and marrows of men have been destroyed by it. It can make or Mar a life.
Use it wisely. Through it nations can be built, lives can be made, peace can be found and abundance can abound the more. Use it well! use it well!!.
P. S: it’s a freestyle poem written to remind us of the potency and power of our tongues and words.
Writers comment: The words we speak are the sword, found In the sheath called the tongue.

The scriptures spoke extensively about these and their effects on our lives. Before I drop my ink, I will love to leave some scriptural  passages for you to mull over.
James 3:9-12
With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness.

Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be.

Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring?

My brothers and sisters, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.
1 Peter 3:10
For, “Whoever would love life and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech.
Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

It is well with you.

Dressed like a princess in her graciously beautiful purple gown, with her expensive golden jewelries that matched her shoes and a smile on her face She approached me; “hey handsome! Can we be friends?” I stood numb asking myself, “was she blind? All this while, with all my achievements, was she just seeing me now?”

Well, 😁 Smart guys like us “no dey carry last for dis matter.” I quickly obliged and accepted her proposal. We exchanged contacts and that was how we became ally.
I never knew Miss pride that looked Innocent meant harm to me. Our relationship ascended like an eagle that just regain her strength from the mountains and with time her Influence was written all over me. Quite unusual, I failed to acknowledge God in all my achievements, my parents became ‘small’ to me, I thought I should have preeminence in the family. My friends became dirt, I stood aloof from them all because walking or talking with them dents my status and I became deaf to all corrections.
Unknown to me,  I never knew that she was subtly escorting me to Sheol, that she was the one that made Lucifer a devil, that she is the root of all sins, that she is an anti-God and that she is the greatest sin.
Unwise man like me thought she was just this beautiful, innocent, sexy and fun to be with lady. At least walking with her changed my status quo.

I traded my life with her for walking, talking and identifying with her. Oh what a shame!
Friends, if you ever meet Miss pride don’t be deceived by her beautiful smiles, pretty face and sexy curvy body because she exudes out fall and death.

Friend, Your experience isn’t the best teacher, but learning from others experience is the best teacher. He that has a ear let him hear.

what if!

What if Joshua thought waging war with swords and arrows against Jericho would do better than going round the city Playing the trumpets and shouting? Would he still win the battle? Would that pleased God?

What if Noah decided to build the ark according to his own intellectual understanding rather than God’s pattern? Would the ark still save the lives of men? Would it not be a mere embodiment of wood to be swallowed by the flood and get lives wasted? Would the ark not hack His purpose?
Friends, I know you got reasons to ‘what if..’ God’s word and to rationalize it by imploring human wisdom. I know your face was to the hill, knowing full well that there cometh your help. But now, the help tarried and you ‘what if’ His words. As a result, you looked somewhere else. You said, “what if I talk to my friend about it?” When you ought to talk to God about it since he promised to listen and attend to your plea.
Don’t forget father Abraham that chose the words of his wife instead of sticking to God. May be he might have thought as well that, ‘what if Isaac do not come?’ Though it tarried, but Isaac came. His ‘what if’ couldn’t stop God!
Don’t run faster than he that knows all about you. God don’t work based on your rational thinking but on what his words said! Sticking to His instructions no matter how amazingly ridiculous it might be is all that get things done and not what our human intelligence can factor into his agenda which is eternally settled in heaven.

The convict!

Oh! That prison wasn’t a good place to be at all. It was a dirty place where dirty things are done by dirty people of our calibre.

The dew drops of memory of how cruel and inhuman the hands of those warders were goes beyond description as their hands wickedly shapened us that we almost despair with our lives ; Remembering the tyrannic philosophy of ‘officer Religion’ makes me shiver as though I was still in his web. He was an expert in dishing out “hard and life-choking works’ to us which are usually exponentially beyond our carrying and bearing capacity( no matter how we doubled ourefforts.) The loads on our plates is a mountain that our iron-made fork cannot summon. Yet, he will want us have them done at all cost. And who are we to say no? After all, being a prisoner is to live according to the dictate of the warders. That of ‘officer religion’ won’t be different! I could as well remember that ‘slender-sly officer’ called immorality. With his easy-to- break- backbone, he landed many to great troubles by building unnecessary stimulation in their body systems backing it up with satanic ideas on how to be drown in lust and call it love. And when he has landed guys into problem, the victim blame the devil. What a subtle person ‘officer immorality was?’ what am I to say of officer greed and pride- both are best of friends, always using us to get things that benefit them at all cost, coupled with self-esteem. Time will fail me to tell you about some other warders like anger, gossip, lust, idolatry, drunkenness etc.

For the few days spent in the hands of this fragile warders, life was more than meaningless and miserable. Those few days seem like eternity. They respect no age just as they circumvent people to achieve ungodliness. For real, being in the prison isn’t a good thing, you are dictated and have no will of yours. No freedom at all to unleash your God’s given potentials. We thought it was cool at least we still have our friends together in this place and we even brand some of these things to make it all the more tushed (you understand all the packaging?)

Little did we know that our lives were wasting away and may eternally be prisoners to these no-mercy warders. But just at a time it seems we won’t leave the prison, we did! We walk out freely (not by prison break or jumping the fence), but through a man who walked us out of the prison to freedom. As I walked out of the gate, I exclaimed, ‘VICTORY AT LAST’ And he said, ‘this victory I have secured for you long ago but you keep turning it down. That is why you have been under the control of flesh and even the satan.

I am grateful that you showed me such a great love. Despite my disobedinece, you sought for me in this prison of shame. Thanks Sir.

I say thanks be to God for that man (Christ ) and faith in Him that set me free, oh! How free and happy I’m to be a slave to righteousness (swipes of Masters)! How sweet to be in Christ. Now I’m now a full citizen of a godly nation and family. Hallelujah!

“Before this faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed. So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith. Now that faith has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the law. You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus- The Word.”

P.S: I enjoin you to please join this family if you haven’t by accepting Jesus into your life TODAY.

Like a stream flowing
Progressing and changing its tides,
Not stereotyped,
Unwilling to recede.
Hoping for other streams to coincide
In order to form oceans..

Just like a tree and other trees,
We can make a forest.

Drops becoming a stream,
Streams becoming a river,
Rivers becoming a sea,
Seas becoming an ocean.
Together with a rain from above
We can flood the dirts below.
Together; you, you, you and I
Can bring a better change,
We desire.

P.S: Any desirable change starts from you(the stream). when others with like mind for change and are changed already join you in unity and and love a change is well enforced. And most importantly when God(the Rain) is involved, I tell you, the change will be breathtaking.
