Two things stopped doing.

Two things I stopped doing (should I say since a long time ago?)

1. I stopped saying “I’m proud to be a baptist,” Yea, I was born a baptist, went to all their programmes and for real that’s why I’m standing now. But I have come to understand God hates sectarianism, *in fact Jesus rebuked his disciples when they told him of someone who was not part of them who called and used his name to heal. So now I believe it’s fine for me to say “I’m proud to be a Christian.” Even in our diversity Christ is what makes us One.
I debunk bigoty denominationalism.

2. I stopped knowing God on a surface or general level; Knowing God on the basis of what my pastor said or any other person said. I found out that knowing God personally is cool. You get to know him for who he is and what he can do and what he is incapable of doing through his word. Now no one can toss me around like a die 🎲, If it’s not in the word of God, I won’t go with it.

THE VALUE OF TIME…

Tick! tick!! says the clock. Close your eyes and open it, a second is gone.

Each seconds count, it amount to minutes, hours, days, months, years, centenaries, then millenniums.

A second is of great value.
In a second;

A man can accept Jesus Christ and gain enternal life, yet in just one second a man can take an occultic oath and give himself to the devil.
In just a second;

A life may be saved, an accident may be averted. In just one second, a life may be lost, a gun may be shot, a bomb thrown.
In just a second;

Conception may take place, the sperm meets the egg, life is formed.

In just one second, breath may stop, soul crosses Jordan.
You must learn to value each seconds so that your lifetime will count so greatly in his sight.

Grace!

The first coming of Jesus, the second coming and the narratives…

second-coming-2People are so busy talking about the second coming of Jesus that they forgot to talk about the first coming of Jesus. The first coming of Jesus that eventually leads people to access eternal life, The first coming of Jesus that talks about his love, his power, his finished work on the cross and his death and resurrection.

You see social medias folks scare people with hell and heaven. Telling them to share their gospel else they spur bad luck on them. Am not against the preaching of Eschatology, in fact God usually discuss that with me sometimes and it also a good thing to remind the church.

But what should we do? Should we scare others with our messages and paint heaven as unattainable? Stop preaching messages that get you a scared converted chicken instead of converted Christians. Funny enough they forgot hell was never our home heaven is our home, they forgot we can’t make heaven ourselves except by by the help of God through his son and that the day we accept and believe the message of salvation we begin to enjoy eternal life 1 John 4:13.

Teach them the first coming of Jesus, it’s automatically makes them access the final salvation if they really accepted his love when they heard the gospel.

The Apostles messages weren’t a scaring one. It was a message that pricked the hearts of men, convicted them and thereby brought them to their knees for repentance. Neither Peter nor Paul started their letters or messages with “Hell is real! Or Heaven is real!” This they know! And that’s why they are constantly introducing the finished work and the loving nature of the Savior that can save peoples lives from the power of hell and help them stand until the day of His coming.

We are sent to preach the Good news not the otherwise.
That it is good news does not mean it won’t hurt or make people angry sometimes (anyway, men love darkness than the light.) However, if the message which is Jesus -focused is preached, it will in the long run leads to repentance qualifying repentant hearts as a member of God’s family. This is the Good news: CHRIST JESUS. This we must tell the world! Emphasizing what he has done to reconcile us back to the Father.

Romans 1:16-17 👉
“I have complete confidence in the gospel; it is God’s power to save all who believe, first the Jews and also the Gentiles. For the gospel reveals how God puts people right with himself: it is through faith from beginning to end. As the scripture says, “The person who is put right with God through faith shall live.””

Jesus is our message, Heaven is our home, faith in Christ makes us get there. Jesus said, ‘I am going to my Father!’ Is there fear in going to ones Dad? No! That is how it is for a christian.
